Renault Scenic

The Renault Scénic is back and as an electric SUV and without acute accent on the ‘e’. The all-new Renault Scenic has now also been added to the price list in the Netherlands and the whole party starts at just under €43,000.

More than three months ago we were introduced to the brand new Renault Scenic, which is fully called Renault Scenic E-Tech Electric because of its electric drivetrain. Not only is the name slightly different than you are used to, the entire car is no longer reminiscent of its Scénic predecessors. Or well, actually it is, because according to Renault it is still the ideal family car. Whether that is again an important argument for choosing the Scenic remains to be seen. In any case, the French also hope to convince with the price tag.

Now we know what it says in the Netherlands. The basic version, the 170 hp EV60 with – as the name suggests – the 60 kWh battery pack, is available from €42,470. According to the WLTP cycle, this version can travel up to 430 km with a full battery and can be recharged with a charging capacity of up to 130 kW. The Scenic EV60 is available as Evolution and as Techno. The latter is €2,500 more expensive and brings LED headlights, the 12-inch instead of the standard 9-inch OpenR Link infotainment system, front and rear parking sensors, a heat pump and privacy glass to the Scenic.

Would you prefer the 220 hp Renault Scenic, which is also equipped with the larger 87 kWh battery pack? Then you will have lost at least €47,970. That version can travel up to a maximum of 625 km (WLTP) with a full battery and can be charged with a maximum of 150 kW at a fast charger. The Renault Scenic EV87 is also available as a Techno as standard. For extra sporty decor, heated front seats and steering wheel and a leather-covered dashboard, you can go for the Esprit Alpine, which costs at least €49,770. At the very top of the price ladder is the Iconic, which costs €51,670. In addition to the Esprit Alpine equipment, it has a Harman Kardon sound system, six-way electrically adjustable front seats and a massage function for the driver’s seat.

Renault opens the order books for the Renault Scenic E-Tech Electric immediately. Delivery will start next spring.
