Ready for the i5 Touring

Audi is going to have a busy year. It is launching an extensive range of new models, including the newcomers to the fully electric A6 e-tron family. We can now show you the brand new Audi A6 Avant e-tron almost completely, well before its unveiling, which is scheduled for 2024.
Audi is busy with it. In 2024 we will probably be introduced to a brand new Q5 with combustion engines, an SUV that will have an electric alternative in the form of the Q6 e-tron in 2024. In addition, there will most likely also be a completely new A5 family. The current A4 Limousine and A4 Avant will be transferred to the A5 series after the upcoming generation change. Something similar is about to happen to the A6. The Audi A6 Limousine and A6 Avant with combustion engines will eventually be completely renewed and will then be known as the A7 Limousine and A7 Avant. The A6 name will be retained, but will soon be added to the back of a completely new electric model series with the addition ‘e-tron’. The electric A6 e-tron will be unveiled in 2024 and on these spy plates we see the A6 Avant e-tron better than ever.
The 2022 Audi A6 Avant e-tron Concept.
Just under a year after Audi previewed its electric competitor for cars such as the Mercedes-Benz EQE and BMW i5 with the A6 e-tron Concept, it conjured up the A6 Avant e-tron Concept. With that study model, Audi already gave a fairly concrete idea of what you can expect from its large electric station wagon. The production version will therefore look quite similar. We see an electric station wagon that looks remarkably ‘normal’ at the front with lighting divided over two layers. The A6 Avant e-tron gets handles partly recessed into the doors, a buttock with connected rear lights and this black and only briefly camouflaged test sample has cameras placed on sticks that function as side mirrors.
The A7 Avant is called the successor to the current A6 Avant. So with combustion engines.
Just like the aforementioned Q6 e-tron, the Audi A6 e-tron and A6 Avant e-tron will be based on the PPE platform developed jointly by Porsche and Audi. Count on charging speeds of up to 270 kW. The A6 Avant e-tron will be just under 5 meters long and, according to Audi, promises to be almost as spacious as the current A6 Avant. So count on between 550 and 600 liters of luggage space. On to 2024, the year in which the Audi A6 Avant e-tron can sink its teeth into the BMW i5 Touring, which is expected to be unveiled early next year.
