Double benefit

The starting price of the electric BYD Seal is going down. The tax value is more important, because it drops below €45,000 and that means that with the BYD Seal you are now eligible for SEPP purchase subsidy.
Until now, the BYD Seal was available in two versions. Nothing will change, but the starting price of the basic Design model drops by €2,035. It is now in the order books for €45,990. The list price (tax value) is €44,990 after the price reduction. Just under 45 grand. This means that you can claim the SEPP purchase subsidy (€2,950), with the result that the BYD Seal in Design trim de facto costs €43,040. The BYD Seal in the more generously equipped Excellence trim is available from €50,990.
Regardless of the chosen version, the BYD Seal has an 82.5 kWh (net) battery pack. The BYD Seal Design has a 313 hp and 700 Nm strong electric heart on the rear axle. This allows you to sprint to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds. Its range is about 570 kilometers. The BYD Excellence has two powerful electric motors with a combined power of 530 hp. This allows you to reach 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds. The range of the BYD Seal Excellence is 520 kilometers, considerably lower than that of the ‘affordable’ BYD Seal Design.
