With recognizable Stellantis parts

In April, Alfa Romeo will finally pull the curtain on its brand new compact electric crossover, the Milano. AutoWeek can show you well before the official debut what the Alfa Romeo Milano will look like on the inside.
The Tonale, born in 2022, is Alfa Romeo’s youngest model. Although Alfa Romeo became part of the large Stellantis a year earlier, the foundation of Tonale was still laid under the wings of Alfa’s previous parent company FCA Automobiles. That immediately explains why the Tonale builds on the platform of the eight-year-old Jeep Compass this year. The Tonale is available with electrified powertrains, but is not available as an EV. Yet there is an electric high Alfa Romeo in the pipeline. It is called Alfa Romeo Milano and it was developed under the watchful eye of Stellantis. AutoWeek has already made an accurate virtual representation of that Milano and now we can show you how the interior of the Milano dries.
Interior Alfa Romeo Milano
In these images retrieved from the European Patent Office database, we see patent plates filed by Stellantis of what is clearly an Alfa dashboard. It is not that of the Giulia, Stelvio and not that of the Tonale. It’s also not wide enough to fold into a future electric Giulia successor. What’s left? Exactly: the Milano. We see Alfa-characteristic round vents for the ventilation system on the corners of the dashboard and a digital instrument cluster that is covered by two round and Alfa Romeo-characteristic tubes.
Interior Jeep Avenger
The Alfa Romeo Milano will be a technical brother of the countless other compact models from Stellantis. Think of cars like the Peugeot 2008, but also the Jeep Avenger and Fiat 600. We do not mention the last two lightly. Alfa Romeo has of course been able to make extensive use of the Stellantis parts barrel not only for the technology, but also for various elements in the interior. Below the infotainment system we find a strip of physical push buttons with which you control the climate control and the volume. We also know it in that form from the Avenger and the 600. The buttons on the steering wheel also clearly resemble the buttons that you find in other Stellantis models.
The Alfa Romeo Milano will be – if we forget the exclusive and limited 33 Stradale – the first electric production model from Alfa Romeo. In any case, we expect a 156 hp electric version and a 240 hp electric top version with four-wheel drive. By the way, the Milano will not always be an EV. It will also be available with or without mild-hybrid combustion engines. The Alfa Romeo Milano will be officially presented in April.
