Mainly reports from Germany

The ANWB has received more breakdown reports from winter sports enthusiasts than last year. The majority of the reports were made from Germany.
The ANWB emergency center received more than 11,000 requests for help from Dutch winter sports enthusiasts in December, January and February, about 10 percent more than in the previous winter sports season. Most Dutch people reported with car trouble.
Most of the 10,000 reports of car breakdowns on the road came from Germany. Some of the broken cars could not be repaired on site and had to be transported to the Netherlands. The most common breakdown reports concerned illuminated indicator lights, cars that did not start, a flat tire, loss of power and a broken battery.
Furthermore, around 1,100 winter sports enthusiasts reported injuries, compared to around 1,000 in the same period last year.
