Hydrogen EV Toyota Mirai becomes more expensive

Charmed by electric driving, but are you more interested in an electrically powered car with a fuel cell on board? Then you can choose from only two passenger cars in the Netherlands: the Hyundai Nexo and the Toyota Mirai. The latter is now several thousand euros more expensive.

Until recently, the Toyota Mirai was in the order books from €70,195, but will now change hands from €71,995. The entry price of the hydrogen EV has therefore increased by €1,750. This new starting price applies to the Dynamic version. As before, the Toyota Mirai is also available as an Executive and a Prestige, but those versions are also becoming more expensive.

The starting price of the Toyota Mirai in Executive trim increases by €2,550 to €76,295. Top version Prestige now costs €82,295, making it almost €2,500 more expensive. Do you get more back for your extra money? Fortunately. For example, the infotainment system has been revised and systems such as Blind Spot Monitor and Panoramic View Monitor are now standard. Here you can read more about the changes Toyota has made to the Mirai.

The Toyota Mirai is powered by a 182 hp and 300 Nm strong electric motor that draws its zest for life from a small battery pack. That package is in turn powered by a fuel cell. The Mirai can carry 5.6 kilograms of hydrogen.
