Five or six seats

The third and for the time being the last new model that Seres is introducing in the Netherlands this year is the 7. The Seres 7 is an over 5 meter long SUV that is always electrically powered, but is not an EV. What it is: quite unique.
After the 3 and the 5, the 7 is the third model that Seres launches on the Dutch market. Unlike the Seres 3 and 5, the Seres 7 is in no way an EV, despite the fact that it is always electrically powered. Just like one engine version of the Seres 5, the Seres 7 will always be electrically propelled with a range extender. However, that is the only powertrain on the Seres 7. It consists of a 120 hp 1.5 petrol engine with four burners, a machine that supplies energy to a 40 kWh battery. That package in turn powers two electric motors with a combined power of 440 hp and 654 Nm. This combination gives the car a range of more than 1,000 kilometers.
What is the Seres 7 then? An SUV, but a very spacious one. The 5.2 meter long, 1.95 meter wide and 1.78 meter high SUV has a wheelbase of 2.82 meters and therefore promises to be a spacious vehicle. It basically offers space for five occupants. Behind the second row of seats you can store 686 liters. If you fold the back seat down, you can carry 1,619 liters of stuff with you. But there’s more. There will also be a variant with three rows of seats and six seats. It has spacious seats in the second row captain seats. However, the luggage compartment of the six-seater version is a lot smaller at 188 liters. With the furniture folded down, you can carry 755 liters in the six-seater version.
Seres 7
The Seres 7 does not yet have a definitive Dutch price, although the importer aims to market it for around €55,000. The standard equipment includes the 360-degree camera also present on the Seres 3 and 5, but also a panoramic glass sliding/tilting roof, leather upholstery and electrically adjustable, heated, ventilated seats with massage function.
Fun fact: just as the Seres 5 without SF addition is actually a far-from-Seres Aito M5 from Seres and Huawei, this Seres 7 is actually an Aito M7 that is marketed as Seres in Europe. Aito is a brand of Seres and the Chinese Huawei. So quite a few models are exchanged.
