Volvo EX30 boosts Volvo sales

Volvo is quite pleased with how the EX30 is doing so far. The smallest and least expensive electric Volvo has made a significant contribution to boosting Volvo sales.

Volvo reports that it sold almost 66,000 cars worldwide in April. 65,838 pieces, to be precise. That was 27 percent more than in the same month last year. Not surprisingly, the XC60 was again the model of which Volvo sold the most copies worldwide in April: 19,542 units. This means that just under thirty percent of every Volvo sold in April was an XC60. Not surprising for a model that was already launched in 2017. The XC40 also appears to be an integral part of Volvo’s podium. Volvo sold 15,139 XC40s. And the brand new Volvo EX30? It was in third place in April!

Volvo sold 9,730 copies of the EX30 worldwide in April. In Europe it was even the brand’s best-selling model in April. In total, Volvo sold 34,238 cars in Europe, 65 percent more than in April 2023. Of these, 13,880 were fully electric, 9,072 had a plug-in hybrid drivetrain and 11,286 had a mild or non-mild hybrid combustion engine.
