The Apple Watch has been equipped with a widget system since Watchos 10. The interactive widgets with information are a central part of the interface. The Apple Watch Widgets can be compared with the versions for iPhone, iPad or Mac, but work in a different way.
This is a smart stack with widgets that appear at the right time and are automatically adapted to the context. Yet you can manually add, edit and secure Apple Watch Widgets. In addition, you have a handy widget in which you can put shortcuts to apps.
Watchos Widgets Edit
- Show the smart stack to turn to the Digital Crown
- Put your finger on a widget to activate the editing mode
- Tap the red button to remove a widget
- Use the plus button at the top to add a new one
- Tap the yellow pin button to secure a widget at the top
- Choose ‘ready’ to complete the edit

As stated earlier, you can secure with the yellow pin button while editing the pile of widgets at the top. These will always be shown first and then the suggestions of the stack.
Complication widget
At the bottom of the list of widgets you will also find a complication widget. This gives you the opportunity to add three complications of apps to the widget. This way you have quick access to these apps from one view.

While editing the stack, tap the Plus button to add new complications. You can remove a complication via the red button.
Smart stacking operation
The widgets for Apple Watch work in a slightly different way than those of, for example, an iPhone. They are in a smart stack that automatically displays relevant widgets at the top of the list.
