If you often travel abroad, the time zone feature in Reminders is particularly useful. This allows you to set a specific time zone for your reminders. This ensures that important notifications are always received at the right time, whether you are on holiday in Sydney or on business in Tokyo.
Previously, reminders automatically adjusted to the local time zone, which sometimes caused confusion. With this update you can decide for yourself whether a reminder stays connected to a fixed time zone or moves with you. This is ideal for anyone who works globally or travels a lot.
Set time zone for reminders
From now on you can manually add a reminder to reminders set fixed time zone. This means that a reminder will continue to go off at the right time, even if you travel and change time zones. This prevents confusion with times when you are abroad.

On a Mac you do this via Reminders â–¸ Menu bar â–¸ Reminders â–¸ Settings â–¸ Set time zone manually. You can then choose a different time zone when linking a time to a reminder.
