We had to wait a long time, but Apple has announced the successor to the iPhone SE and is a direct brother of the iPhone 16 series. The newest generation iPhone 16th has received a completely new design and is equipped with Apple Intelligence.
The SE collection always has elements of older iPhone models in a new look. When you look at the new iPhone, you will find that these similarities with the iPhone 14, including a notch. Thanks to the A18 chip, the new iPhone has Apple Intelligence.
iPhone 16th
The iPhone SE has always been a popular device with the Apple users and it is good to see that Apple has released a new type of generation. This time under a new name: the iPhone 16th. In contrast to the SE, Apple has taken away from the home button with Touch ID for this device and has received the design that looks like the iPhone 14.
The iPhone has a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with a notch. The housing is made of aluminum with the back of clouded glass. The iPhone has a single 48 -MP main camera (wide angle) with software portrait function. At the front you will find a 12-MP TrueDepth camera for Face ID and Selfies.
You can charge the device with wire charging (Qi) or USB-C, the device has no magsafe. On the side you will find the action button for rapid operation of self-chosen functions instead of a sound on/off switch. Furthermore, the iPhone 16th contains an A18 chip that makes Apple Intelligence possible.
Design iPhone 16th
The iPhone looks like the iPhone 14, but with action button and a renewed camera. The housing is made from 85 percent recycled aluminum and the advanced Ceramic Shield glass at the front is stronger than any other smartphone glass.
The 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display with OLED technology runs from edge to edge. At the top you will find a small notch in which the Face ID TrueDepth camera is incorporated.
Via the action button on iPhone 16th you quickly get to the features that you often need. With one push of a button you can open the camera, turn on the flashlight, turn on and off the ringtone, get a number by Shazam, the dictaphone, focus, the translation app and accessibility features if the magnifying glass activate, or via the assignments- App use another feature.

It is also handy that you can stop and resume a recording at any time. iPhone 16th also absorbs video in spatial audio, so that you can absorb the sound with AirPods, Apple Vision Pro or a surroundsound system. With Audiomix you also have more ways to adjust the sound of your video to your liking. This makes it possible, for example, to insulate the voice of the person in the picture or to make the sound sound as if it were included in a professional studio. You also have the option to bring the voices forward and to display the background noises in Surround Sound. And due to the reduction of wind noise, which involves a powerful machine learning algorithm, the sound quality only gets better.
Apple Intelligence on an iPhone 16th
The biggest innovation for the entry iPhone is to be a faster processor. Instead of an A15 chip, the iPad gets an A18 Bionic processor with Neural Engine that makes it possible to perform less complex tasks energy-efficiently. This makes the iPhone 16th ready for Apple Intelligence and you can also use AI on this entry -level model.

The iPhone 16th can be ordered from next Friday, February 21, 2:00 PM and will be from February 28, 2025 delivered. The suggested retail price for the latest generation of iPhone 16th with 128 GB Storage is € 719. For comparison, the iPhone SE was € 479.
