With Apple Intelligence in photos you get access to new possibilities in the photos app for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Vision Pro. The most important part is ‘Clean Up’, ‘well on’ in Dutch. With the help of these functions you can remove unwanted objects and people from a photo.

- Open a photo in the photos app

- Go to the ‘Clean Up’ option (spacious)

After you have ticked ‘well’, it is possible that certain parts will be marked automatically, so that you can quickly tap them to remove them. These parts get a colorful glow over them.
If you want to remove something, you can tap/click on it, sweep or circling. If necessary, zoom in to remove a part in detail. If you wipe over someone’s face, it may be blurred with a pixel effect. Apple Intelligence is very accurate and will try to remove the parts as well as possible.
Look back
Creating your own looking back is finally possible with the help of Apple Intelligence. In photos you can create a customized retrospective film of a story you want to see. Just type a description and Apple Intelligence finds the photos and videos for you. A storyline with unique chapters and narrative elements is then generated and music is put underneath.
- Open photos and look back at you
- Tap or then click on ‘Create’
- Type a description of the film that you want to create based on your library
- Confirm with ‘Done’ (ready)
- Apple Intelligence does the rest
Specific search in photos
With Apple Intelligence you can find a specific photo or an important moment in a video even more easily. You just have to describe what you are looking for and the more details you add, the better the results.
- Open the photos app
- Tap or click on the search field
- Type a description in natural language, for example ‘[naam] Walking in The Mountains ‘Skateboarding in A Tie-Dye Shirt’ or “[naam] Cartwheeling on the grass “.

Photos gets started immediately and shows the best and all results. You can then make a selection in the photos and videos found and possibly move, share or view it.
