VPN service (s) with different countries.

A VPN comes in handy if you want to shop and want to work as anonymously as possible. In addition to the privacy aspect, it may also pay to use foreign servers, for example to gain access to (lower) rates or content that is not available in their own country. Proton VPN has a free VPN service that you can use via a Windows app. There are also apps available for other devices, such as Android, iOS and MacOS.
Although the free version does not have any data limit, you run into limitations in the field of servers. With the free variant you can use the servers from the Netherlands, Japan and the US.
If you choose the paid version, the number of countries with which you can connect will be increased to more than 110. The company works from Switzerland and therefore does not have a standard ‘exchange of information’ with the United States. In the main window you will find the available servers on a world map. You can search on a specific country via the search box on the left in the window. Some countries have several servers, which are shown when you fold out a country.
The main screen gives extra information and statistics for your current session. This way you can see how long the VPN session lasts, how much data has been downloaded and uploaded and what speeds you reach.
