Now Ring comes with the smart function Animal detectiona new AI-driven function within the Smart reports. With this function, Ring users can set their cameras and doorbells so that they detect moving animals, receive recordings and receive notifications, or disable animals movements correctly. Animal detection is available for all Ring Home subscriptions.

According to Ring, the addition of animal detection is a direct response to the feedback from Ring users, who needed more control over reports and the possibility of following their pets inside or outside. Users now get more control over the recording and reporting settings, so that they can adjust or even switch off the function exactly, at least if you have a ring subscription.

The new ring animal detection will be rolled out step by step and will be available no later than 7 August for the following ring devices:
