The Yamaha Ténéré 700 World Raid 2026 takes long-distance touring and off-road adventures to a new level. With improved electronics, ergonomics, engine performance and comfort, this adventure bike promises riders everywhere an unparalleled riding experience.

The heart of the new Ténéré is the legendary 689 cc CP2 parallel-twin. This engine block has been fully adapted to the Euro5+ emission standards, without losing power. Thanks to a redesigned air intake, low-end torque has been improved, providing smoother acceleration at low speeds, crucial for off-road trails and technical passages.
The 2026 World Raid uses Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle (YCC-T), with two riding modes: Sport, for immediate, dynamic power delivery on the road, and Explorer, for smooth response on off-road terrain or wet surfaces. You can switch between these modes while driving via the new “Mode” switch on the right side of the handlebar, even with the throttle closed.
For maximum control, the motorcycle is equipped with a 6-axis IMU. This continuously measures acceleration and angular velocity in all directions, and sends information to the slope-sensitive traction control system (TCS), the Slide Control System (SCS) and the ABS/brake control system. This way, novice riders benefit from extra safety, while experienced riders can get the most out of the machine.
The TCS and SCS systems offer three modes – Street, Offroad and Off – so the rider can determine how much electronic support is desired. The ABS system has also been expanded: in addition to the standard function, Brake Control can be activated when cornering, while the off-road modes Rear Off and Off allow full control of the rear or both wheels.
Transmission and brakes: smooth and powerful
The clutch has been ergonomically improved, with a new operating position 35° forward and a larger clutch cover for greater freedom of movement. Shifts are smoother thanks to an updated transmission: the number of convex and concave teeth for gears 1-3 has been increased from five to six, and the tooth angle of gears 4-6 has been adjusted for smoother throttle response.
Strong stopping power is provided by Brembo front brake calipers on 282mm discs, with braided steel brake lines for optimal braking consistency.
Comfort and ergonomics: built for long distances

The World Raid 2026 is equipped with dual aluminum fuel tanks of a total of 23 liters, good for approximately 500 km of range. Two separate tanks minimize the fuel swing effect and improve stability and driving feel.
The one-piece rally saddle has been redesigned for easy transitions from sitting to standing and front to back, providing maximum freedom of movement on off-road and long-distance tours. A new windshield and removable side deflectors increase comfort, while cruise control and a speed limiter make long journeys more enjoyable. Large footpegs with rubber inserts provide grip and comfort, and can be removed for optimal off-road performance.
The lighting has been improved with a new LED headlight system that provides both low and high beam, and is easily height-adjustable.
Off-road capabilities: ready for any terrain

The Ténéré 700 World Raid 2026 is – if we can believe Yamaha – immediately ready for off-road adventures. Explorer mode and off-road specific driver assistance systems provide confidence on any terrain, while improved suspension and frame ensure optimal control.
The fully adjustable KYB suspension now has greater spring travel: 230 mm at the front and 220 mm at the rear. Front fork diameter has been increased to 46mm with Kashima coating, while the rear monoshock with improved link and +5mm travel offers progressive damping. Oil and air are kept separate for consistent performance, and the piggyback oil recovery tank ensures optimal operation in all conditions.
The frame is a lightweight steel double cradle, while the cast aluminum swingarm, reinforced subframe and new mounting points maximize off-road resistance. Aluminum wire wheels (21” front, 18” rear) ride on Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tires, 50/50 on and off-road.
Technology and connectivity

The new 6.3″ TFT display offers three themes: Street, Explorer and Raid, for optimal insight into speed, rpm, fuel consumption, trip meter and navigation. The motorcycle can connect to phones via the free Yamaha MyRide app for calls, messages, music and turn-by-turn navigation.
New ergonomic handlebar switches and joystick make setting all systems easy while riding. A USB-C port keeps devices charged, essential for long adventure trips.
Design and style

The 2026 World Raid combines functionality with a robust, modern rally look. The new saddle shape, sturdy fairing protectors and redesigned LED headlights give the motorcycle a sleek, mature look, while the rally silhouette radiates power and adventure.
Available colours: Redline White and Midnight Black.
Accessories and personalization

Yamaha offers more than 60 genuine accessories, including radiator protection, lowering kit, fog lamp bracket and sidepad protection. Accessories from the 2025 models are also compatible. Owners can order these in advance and have them installed by the dealer.
In addition, an Adventure riding clothing line has been developed in collaboration with Alpinestars, from multi-season jackets and pants to T-shirts and fleece jackets, especially for adventure riders.
With all these updates, technology and comfort, the Yamaha Ténéré 700 World Raid 2026 is ready to take adventurers even further and longer, both on and off-road.
