Ducati has given a first look at the new DesertX, the 2026 update of its off-road-oriented adventure, at EICMA 2025. The manufacturer from Borgo Panigale promises more authenticity off-road, less weight and a more powerful heart.

Four years after the introduction of the DesertX – Ducati’s first maxi-enduro with a 21-inch front wheel – the model is being thoroughly developed. The 2026 DesertX is lighter and more capable, thanks in part to an all-new chassis with advanced suspension and a progressive rear linkage, developed to further refine off-road control.
Under the fairing lies Ducati’s new V2 IVT engine, which not only makes the DesertX more versatile, but also stronger:
110 hp at 9,000 rpm and 92 Nm at 7,000 rpm. The curb weight without fuel is 206 kilos, which should immediately give the engine a sharper and more agile character.
More details are lacking for the time being: Ducati will not announce the full specifications until February 2026. The DesertX will be available at European dealers from May, followed by North America in June and Japan and Australia in August.
