Ducati honors Márquez and Bagnaia with Panigale V2 MM93 and FB63

Ducati has presented two special editions of the Panigale V2: the MM93 and FB63. Both are a tribute to Lenovo team drivers Marc Márquez and Francesco Bagnaia, finished in unique racing inspiration liveries and sharpened for the track.

Ducati honors Márquez and Bagnaia with Panigale V2 MM93 and FB63

When Ducati presented its riders for 2025 this spring, it was already clear that it was looking for something festive. The arrival of Marc Márquez to the factory team is historic, Pecco Bagnaia is chasing even more titles and Borgo Panigale is in the middle of a sporting peak. This now translates into two special series: the Panigale V2 MM93 and Panigale V2 FB63, each built in a numbered edition and equipped with components that take the Panigale V2 S to a higher performance level.

The basis for both models is the Panigale V2 S — the motorcycle with which both Márquez and Bagnaia complete their training kilometers outside the MotoGP weekends. Both riders were remarkably unanimous after their first meters on the new twin. Márquez described the V2 S as “incredibly light, much better braking and steering, with stronger bottom-end torque and much easier to drive than the previous model.” Bagnaia converted his findings into lap times: within a few sessions he was two tenths faster than with the previous Panigale V2.

According to Ducati, that direct input from the riders has actually been incorporated into the set-up of the MM93 and FB63. The focus: more stability under hard braking, more precision when turning in and even more direct, sportier feedback from the whole.

Two drivers, two stories – and two very unique liveries

Visually, the special editions are impossible to miss. The Panigale V2 MM93 is an ode to Márquez’s first meters as a Ducati rider: the ‘todo rojo’ test design that shocked the paddock. The start number 93 is central to the livery, with the identification MM93 on the fairing parts and next to the model name. Ducati calls it a celebration of a turning point: the start of a new chapter for both parties.

The Panigale V2 FB63, on the other hand, harkens back to Bagnaia’s black and red camouflage colors, the design he wears on the helmet, gloves and boots. The motto “GoFree” appears on the side fairings, next to the FB63 logo. Where the MM93 looks fierce and iconic, the FB63 has a dark, muscular appearance that fits perfectly with Bagnaia’s tight driving style.

New forged wheels: less weight, faster turn-in

The biggest technical upgrade is in the new five-spoke forged aluminum wheels, first used on the Panigale V2. They are 1.5 kilos lighter than the cast wheels and reduce rotating mass by 27% at the front and 21% at the rear. On the track, this translates into faster steering, easier changes of direction and noticeably improved acceleration.

Ducati combines these wheels with an adjustable Öhlins steering damper, which offers more peace and stability, especially at high speeds. This makes the V2 noticeably better prepared for track use, without losing the accessible character that makes the Panigale V2 so popular.

Track ergonomics: lower handlebars, more protection, more control

The MM93 and FB63 have a set of low clip-ons, mounted on a beautifully milled handlebar plate on which the edition number is engraved. The lower handlebars are intended to give the rider more pressure on the front wheel while creating more space for body movements — essential for aggressive cornering.

A higher, more protective racing screen improves aerodynamics and gives the rider more stability at top speeds. According to Ducati, it not only makes a difference in comfort, but also in lap time: less turbulence means you can stay relaxed in the tuck for longer.

The new DesmosediciGP-style grips have been specially chosen for their rough structure and high grip, something that riders will certainly benefit from on the track. Such a detail makes a difference, especially during hard braking or violent body position changes.

Mechanically the same as the V2 S – but dynamically sharper

Technically, the engine and electronics remain the same as the Panigale V2 S, but the combination of the lighter wheelset, the adjusted steering geometry, extra stability of the Öhlins damper and the track-oriented ergonomics ensures an immediately measurable gain in lap time, according to Ducati.

Availability

The Panigale V2 MM93 and FB63 come in a numbered, but not limited series: Ducati produces them as long as the market demands them, but each bike is given a unique number. Available from March 2026 for a price tag of €26,590.
