Apple Pay makes it easy to pay with your iPhone in physical stores, at cash registers and payment terminals. But you can also use Apple’s payment service when paying in apps and on websites.
For example, the app and/or webshop of Coolblue, Bol.com, Home delivery and much more Apple’s payment service. Paying using Apple Pay is very simple and we explain how this works. Please note, in some cases a credit card linked to Apple Pay is required.
Add payment cards
Before you can pay with Apple Pay in apps and websites, you must first add a payment card to the Wallet application on your iPhone or iPad. You can read in detail how to do this here. If you have a Mac with Touch ID, it is even possible to add the payment card directly to macOS; click here to activate this.
Use Apple Pay in apps
App developers can choose to include Pay as a payment method when paying for an order. If this is the case, you can choose Apple Pay as a payment method when paying for your order. Once you choose this, Apple’s payment method will be activated and you can choose a linked payment card (video).

Confirm your identity with Face ID or Touch ID and payment will be made immediately. The address details linked to the payment card are used in most cases.
Pay via Pay on websites
It is also possible to pay with Apple Pay on websites. On an iPhone and iPad this is done in much the same way as in apps. Complete your order and choose Pay as payment method; After this your payment cards will be opened. Confirm your identity with Face ID or Touch ID and payment will be made immediately.
On a Mac, on the other hand, this is different; it depends on whether you have a Mac with or without Touch ID.
Mac with Touch ID
If you have a MacBook Pro or MacBook Air with Touch ID, you can make payments directly from Safari after adding your payment cards to System Preferences. Complete your order and choose Pay as payment method. After this, a pop-up window will appear that allows you to choose a payment card and confirm the payment with your fingerprint or password.
Mac without fingerprint scanner
If you have a Mac without Touch ID, you can simply choose Apple Pay as a payment method. For this you must have a Mac from 2012 or newer and iCloud must be activated. Go to Safari â–¸ Menu Bar â–¸ Safari â–¸ Preferences â–¸ enable ‘Allow websites to check if Apple Pay is set up’. On your iPhone, go to Settings â–¸ Wallet & Apple Pay â–¸ Enable the ‘Allow payments on Mac’ option.
From now on you can pay for orders in Safari via Apple’s payment service. Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your Mac and iPhone, complete your order and choose Pay as the payment method.

A pop-up window will then appear allowing you to continue the payment on your iPhone or using your Apple Watch. Follow the steps on this device to complete the payment.
