Jeep Gladiator as adventurous Farout Concept

Jeep has presented a very adventurous variant of the Jeep Gladiator. The pick-up version of the Wrangler is no longer even recognizable as a pick-up as a Farout Concept.

Every year in April, the American Red Rock 4-Wheelers Off-Road Club hosts the Moab Jeep Safari, an event that brings Jeep enthusiasts together in Moab, Utah, to admire each other’s cars and to ride their Jeeps through various trials. . The Jeep itself is traditionally present and often brings various striking concept cars to the event. That party was canceled this year for fear of further spread of the Covid-19 virus and that means that Jeep will have to present its new products at a later time. Today we are introduced to the Jeep Gladiator Farout Concept, a very intense variant of the Gladiator.

With the Gladiator Farout Concept, Jeep continues where it left off at last year’s Moab Jeep Safari with the Wayout Concept presented there. The Farout Concept is equipped with the 3.0-V6 diesel engine, which is new for the American market, but that is not the most special thing about this study model. On top of the closed body of the Gladiator, Jeep has placed a fold-out roof tent, among other things. When unfolded, an almost five meter long and 2.3 meter high tent unfolds on the roof of the adventurer, big enough for four people. The interior of the Gladiator is finished with wood, according to Jeep, which probably makes the interior for such an off-road colossus remarkably cozy. Jeep speaks of the presence of cupboards, an oven, a refrigerator and there is even room for a table.

The Farout Concept stands on a lift kit that puts the Gladiator 5 centimeters higher on its feet than the standard version. 37-inch high off-road tires are folded around the 17-inch wheels. The exciting Jeep has a special steel front bumper with a winch and modified springs and dampers. Undoubtedly, a large part of the accessories will soon be found in the Mopar catalog of Jeep.
