Apple announces new entry-level MacBook Pro with M5 chip
Wednesday, October 15 • Wesley FabryApple has equipped the 14-inch MacBook Pro with a new and powerful M5 processor. This is the entry-level model, the other MacBook Pro models will retain the M4 Pro and M4 Max chip for the time being. These are expected to be released in spring 2026.
The 2025 edition of the MacBook Pro continues the current aluminum design with miniLED screen and notch. The buyer can choose from a 14-inch display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a maximum of 1000 nits brightness. Compared to the previous model, the M5 chip is the only real innovation.
