This costs the Jeep Renegade and Compass as plug-in

Jeep unveiled the ‘First Editions’ of the Renegade 4xe and Compass 4xe earlier this year. Techzle can now also report what the regularly implemented plug-ins will cost.

Jeep gets the plug with the Renegade and the Compass. In both cases, a petrol engine works together with an electric motor. The first drives the front wheels, the second the rear wheels. Switching is done by means of a six-speed automatic transmission. Both Jeeps come in two versions in terms of system power: 190 hp and 240 hp. Techzle can now report what these two 4xe versions will cost of both models.

Renegade

To start with, the Renegade. It is available as a 190 hp variant from € 42,990. The 240 hp version is available as Trailhawk from € 43,990. The S adds a little extra and must cost at least € 44,990. As standard, the Renegade as a 4xe has things like Hill Descent Control, leather upholstery, a heated leather-covered steering wheel, heated front seats and the 8.4-inch infotainment screen. The Trailhawk also has an additional terrain mode for climbing over rocks, protective plates for the fuel tank, gearbox and front suspension, privacy glass, Trailhawk badges and LED lighting at the front and rear. In addition to the standard equipment, the S has 19-inch wheels (normally 17-inch), a reversing camera and LED lighting all around.

With the hybrid powertrain, the Renegade (190 hp) accelerates to 100 km / h in 7.5 seconds, while the 240 hp version takes 7.1 seconds to do so. The battery pack has a capacity of 11.4 kWh and when it is fully charged, you should (with the 190 hp version) be able to travel up to 54 kilometers electrically (WLTP). The 240 hp Renegade comes to 52 km.

Compass

The Compass follows almost the same recipe as the Renegade in terms of equipment. The Compass costs € 46,490 as a 190 hp basic version (Limited Business) and is also available as a 240 hp Trailhawk (€ 46,990) and a 240 hp S (€ 47,990). The Compass S has as extras still the audio system from Alpine and an electrically operated tailgate. In terms of performance, it is also a similar story to the Renegade. The 11.4 kWh battery pack is good for a maximum of 52 electric kilometers. The 190 hp version does the 0-100 sprint in 8 seconds, the version with 240 hp does the same in 7 seconds.
