Circuit Zandvoort gets a new name

The Dutch Grand Prix did not take place this year, but that certainly does not mean that people are sitting still at Circuit Zandvoort. After all the renovations in the past year, the icing on the cake will soon follow: a new name for the circuit!

In the run-up to the return of Formula 1 to Circuit Zandvoort, all efforts were made to prepare the circuit for the premier class of motorsport. The track was thoroughly modified on various points, with the renewed Arie Luyendijk bend as the largest eyecatcher. In addition, the pit buildings, the pit lane, access to the circuit and the facilities next to the track were also thoroughly overhauled. Wednesday 26 August, the press will have the opportunity to take a closer look at all the novelties and the new name for the circuit will be announced.

The more than 70-year-old circuit has been known for many years as Circuit Zandvoort or (previously) Circuit Park Zandvoort. It is still clear how big the name change will be, but it probably means that for the first time in its existence it will really get a clearly different name. The return of Formula 1 is probably also related to this and the choice is for an internationally stronger name. Time will tell. Techzle will be there when the new name is revealed, so we’ll keep you posted. What would you consider a good name?
