Kia Stonic now also as GT-Line

Kia is expanding the Stonic range with the GT-Line, which gives the crossover a more sporty look. It will be with the Dutch dealers from January.

The Kia Stonic is already available in versions such as ComfortLine, DynamicLine and DynamicPlusLine, but the crossover was never introduced to the GT-Line. That changes immediately, because Kia is adding the Stonic GT-Line to its delivery range.

Dressing

The Stonic GT-Line is a sporty version of the well-known type, which means that you do not have to count on an extra powerful powertrain. The GT-Line does get different front and rear bumpers that give the crossover a more playful look. In the front bumper we see large partially closed cooling openings and LED fog lamps. The rear bumper even has a real diffuser. The mirror covers are finished in black. The Stonic GT-Line is standard on 17-inch light alloy and has three openings in the front bumper in the same color as the roof of the car. Of course he is also dressed a bit fresher on the inside. Kia gives the crossover panels with a carbon look and covers the seats with a combination of fabric and synthetic leather with white stitching. The steering wheel is flattened at the bottom and covered with perforated leather.

Motor

The new GT-Line version is not reserved for the most powerful Stonic. Both the 100 hp and the 120 hp 1.0 T-GDI, both mild hybrids, are available in combination with the new version. That variant with 100 hp has the new iMT manual gearbox, the 120 hp version is also available with a seven-speed automatic transmission with double clutch.

Equipment

The Stonic GT-Line has aluminum sports pedals, seat and steering wheel heating, LED fog lamps and an 8-inch display that belongs to the infotainment system as standard. Above that is the richer equipped GT-PlusLine. This adds LED headlights, a sliding / tilting roof, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and blind spot detection to the equipment of the GT-Line.

The Stonic GT-Line has a starting price of € 26,795. For that amount you have the 1.0 T-GDI of 100 hp under the hood that is linked to the iMT manual. The similarly motorized Stonic GT-PlusLine changes ownership from € 27,795. They can be ordered immediately and will be available at dealers from mid-January.
