Ford has presented a new temporary version of the Transit Custom. The customer has Transit Custom Platinum Edition and is packed to the ridge of the roof with pampering.
Anyone in the market for a van can turn to Ford for various models. At the bottom of the list are the Transit Courier and Transit Connect and the delivery van simply called ‘Transit’ is at the top of the menu. In between is the Transit Custom, which is available as a closed orderer, with a double cabin and as a passenger version Transit Custom Combi. Then there is the Transit Tourneo Custom, a richer and nicer finished passenger bus based on the Transit Custom. Ford temporarily has a fully loaded version of the Transit Custom Double Cab on the price list: the Transit Custom Platinum Edition.
The Platinum Edition of the Transit Custom has the 130 hp 2.0 EcoBlue diesel engine under the hood, which is linked to an automatic transmission. In fact, it is a Transit Custom in length L2 (5.34 meters) that is executed as Limited, although the equipment is quite extensive. The new variant, for example, has almost all the goodies that the Transit Custom option list has to offer as standard. Cruise control, climate control and parking beeps on the front and rear are standard, in addition, the Platinum Edition also has eight-way adjustable and heated front seats with armrests, the SYNC3 infotainment system with 8-inch display, navigation, a rain sensor, a reversing camera, bi-xenon headlights, electric operable, heated and foldable exterior mirrors and Blind Spot Detection. Leather upholstery is included and LED spotlights in the interior provide extra lighting. From the outside, the Transit Custom Platinum Edition can be recognized by its black 16-inch alloy, gray bumper strips, privacy glass and side steps.
The starting price of the Transit Custom Platinum Edition is set at € 34,925. Excluding VAT and bpm, of course. The first copies will be delivered later this month.
