The new Subaru BRZ is already on display! The sports coupé will have its official debut this afternoon, but it is already clear what we can expect.
Apparently someone could not wait and threw the first photos of the new Subaru BRZ into the wide world. The first images of the sporty Japanese trickle onto the internet via various Instagram accounts. This clearly shows that the BRZ is partly completely new, but that something remains familiar.
After all, the basic shape remains the same and that has to do with the fact that it is not a generation newly developed from the ground up. The current BRZ, which dates from 2012, will continue in a strongly evolved form. Especially the roofline and the C-pillar betray the basis. Yet Subaru has managed to make the BRZ look fresh again with a completely new nose and butt. An eraser has also clearly gone through the interior and has largely started again. The whole looks tighter than before and actually only the operation of the climate control shows really strong similarities with that of the waving BRZ.
The fact that the basis remains the same, probably also means that it is again a rear-wheel drive car with a four-cylinder boxer engine. There are rumors that the BRZ will be a blow more powerful, because from now on they would hang the blown 2.4-liter boxer. In other Subaru’s that is good for 260 hp and 376 Nm of power. Fortunately, we get a quick response from Subaru and we will also see more of the BRZ soon, as the reveal is later today. We already know one thing for sure: the new Subaru BRZ is unfortunately not coming to Europe.
