Toyota Mirai and Lexus LS according to Modellista

With its great focus on efficiency, the Toyota Mirai is not exactly the first car where you expect sporty finery. However, the new Mirai is no longer the angular block box of yesteryear and so the external decoration now fits better with the innovative model, or so one must have thought in Japan. Toyota’s in-house tuner Modellista pours its sauce over the Mirai and gushes its flavor over the Lexus LS in passing.

We know Toyota’s in-house tuner Modellista in a recent past, among other things, from the optical decoration that it poured over the Toyota Yaris Cross. The Toyota Mirai cannot escape a walking session at Modellistas either catwalk. Incidentally, the Mirai is not handled too harshly. The ‘hydrogen Toyota’ gets an attached sideskirt and similarly treated front and rear bumpers. Modellista sticks aluminum-colored details on the mirror caps and on the door handles especially for the discerning viewer.

In addition to the Toyota Mirai, the Lexus top sedan is also being taken care of. The recently facelifted LS, like the Mirai, benefits from the arrival of added bumper work all around. We see a spoiler under the front bumper, a copy under the rear bumper and a thicker sideskirt. Modellista is also making new 21-inch alloy wheels available for Lexus’ four-door flagship. As with the modified Mirai, the Lexus LS also remains completely itself on a technical level.
