Aston Martin Racing comes with the Legacy Collection, a set of three racing versions based on the V8 Vantage from 2005: the Vantage GT4, V12 Vantage GT3 and V8 Vantage GTE. All three models have achieved success in racing in their own way.
All three Vantages in the Legacy Collection are painted in Stirling Green with fluorescent yellow details, colors that are more common on Aston Martin Racing models. It is not that the racing department of the brand has taken a few old Vantages and sprayed them with a new coat of paint, because the racers are all on a new chassis and are ready to hit the track. Every car from the Legacy Collection is therefore the last car of its model built. The Vantage GT4 is number 108, the V12 Vantage GT3 is number 47 and the Vantage GTE is the seventh copy. Not entirely coincidentally, the GTE also received chassis number 007.
The Vantage GT4 was the first racer based on the then V8 Vantage. It was unveiled in 2009 and has been built until 2018. According to Aston Martin, some copies are still racing today. The V12 Vantage GT3 followed in 2012, now with a screaming V12 with 600 hp under the hood. This car has helped several teams to success in the British GT Championship. With the V8 Vantage GTE, Aston Martin tried it in the World Endurance Championship. Not without merit, because the car has, among other things, booked two classification victories in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Aston Martin Racing offers the Legacy Collection once as a complete set for the collector. Although all three cars are circuit ready, it is unlikely that they will ever see the asphalt. A price is unknown.
