Mercedes-Benz lifts a small corner of the veil that hangs over the electric EQA. The unveiling will take place very soon.
On January 20 Mercedes pulls the curtain off the long-awaited little brother of the EQC. Naturally, this all happens online, as we are used to today. Don’t expect a big shock in terms of appearance. The Mercedes EQA is in fact ‘just’ an electric GLC, albeit with an EQC-style nose and undoubtedly some own design elements elsewhere.
The dashboard that Mercedes shows is therefore not surprising. The differences that are undoubtedly there are not visible on the dark teaser record. So the photo might as well have shown a GLA dashboard (photo 2). A unique feature for the EQA will be the ‘smart’ navigation, which takes range and charging options into account.
It is now clear that the introductory version will be known as EQA 250. That is a two-wheel drive (undoubtedly front-wheel drive) version with an output of 140 kW or more than 190 hp. This means that he is slightly behind what is usual in this segment, because cars such as the Volkswagen ID3 and Hyundai Kona Electric have 150 kW or 204 hp screens.
However, there is more in the barrel, because Mercedes already promises that there will also be a version with 200 kW / 273 hp. That car also has four-wheel drive and therefore two electric motors.
After its unveiling, the Mercedes EQA must already appear at the dealer this spring, assuming that it may open its doors again.
