Also new Kangoo-based Nissan NV250

Nissan opens a book about the next generation of ‘its compact commercial vehicle’. Then the brand is of course talking about the successor to the NV250, a variant on the Kangoo theme that promises to become a rarity.

The next generation of the Nissan NV250 comes from France, according to the brand. The Maubeuge factory of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance is the birthplace. The current purchaser, presented in 2019, runs just like the current Kangoo with which he shares his genes in that production facility of the band.

Nissan promises that, among other things, an electric version of the NV250 will follow. This also indicates that Nissan’s youngest compact orderer is strongly associated with Renault’s new Kangoo. After all, a fully electric ZE variant of that car has (again) been announced. According to Nissan, the arrival of the electric variant heralds the end of the e-NV200, an electric version of the NV200 / Evalia launched in 2014. The successor to the NV250, in turn the replacement for the first generation Kangoo-based Nissan Kubistar, will not only get a van version, but also a version with a yellow license plate for passenger transport. In addition, the car is available in various lengths.

The Nissan NV250 has only been on the market since mid-2019 and thus promises to become quite a rarity in the long term. Soon all delivery vans of the Japanese brand will see the light of day in France. The NV200, which will soon disappear, will be produced outside France. The recently facelifted NV300 (Combi) is already produced in France, which is Nissan’s counterpart of the Renault Trafic.
