The new Peugeot 308 is eager to put its teeth into the competition. The new Peugeot 308 has already been caught in public several times as a hatchback, but of course the new Peugeot 308 also has a spacious SW. That new Peugeot 308 SW can be seen for the first time today on a set of spy photos.
Stellantis is firing a whole series of new, compact mid-sized cars on the car country this year. The DS 4 was recently renewed, but the new Astra and the new 308 respectively are ready in the incubation chambers of Opel and Peugeot. The 308 SW, the station wagon of the new Peugeot 308, can now be seen in camouflage suit for the first time.

The new 308, just like the next Astra and the already unveiled new DS 4, will be on a further developed version of the EMP2 platform, a basis that you currently also find under the 308. An electric version of the 308 is probably not in the barrel, but the French middle class cannot escape electrification. In any case, there will be a 225 hp plug-in hybrid, although it is very likely not to be limited to one plug version. You can also count on a range of PureTech petrol and BlueHDi diesel engines.
From the outside, the new Peugeot 308 seems to be an evolution of the current model. Peugeot incorporates design elements from cars such as the 208, 2008 and 5008 into the exterior design. Just like the new 308 hatchback, this new 308 SW also seems to get rear lights that are visually tied together. The new 308 SW will undoubtedly be slightly more spacious than the current model. The centimeters that the 308 grows in length and width, will partly benefit the rear passengers, although the luggage compartment will also grow slightly. The luggage compartment of the current 308 has a capacity of 610 liters, the new 308 SW will therefore slightly exceed that.

Peugeot has not yet officially revealed the 308. However, it will not be months before Peugeot presents the new 308. The new 308 SW may follow a little later. Count on a market launch sometime in the second half of this year.
