Kia K8 can now also be seen inside

Kia presented the K8 to the world public in mid-February, a brand new sedan that in fact serves as the successor to the Candeza, but which does climb one step on Kia’s status ladder. The K8 can now also be seen from the inside.

Earlier this year, Kia showed a first series of photos of the exterior of the brand new K8, a 5.02 meter long sedan that succeeds the Cadenza. The K8 has a relatively extravagant design and Kia did not hold back when designing the interior of the big brother of the now called K5 Optima.

The K8 is the first new model since Kia’s ‘rebirth’, so it is not surprising that the revised emblem adorns the heart of the wheel. In a large curved panel placed on top of the dashboard, we have two displays. The first functions as a digital set of instruments and is therefore directly behind the steering wheel. The second screen also has a diameter of 12 inches and is located where you normally expect the infotainment system. Underneath is a panel with touch-sensitive buttons that, among other things, operate the climate control, although there are also shortcuts to operate the infotainment system.

There is no shortage of pampering. The Korean manufacturer mentions an extensive audio system from Meridan with 14 speakers. The interior is apparently decorated with beautifully stitched nappa leather down to the smallest nooks and crannies, as if it were a Genesis model. For some extra classic ambiance, Kia applies a number of square decimeters of woodwork, to finish the dashboard, among other things. The Kia K9, also called K900 or Quoris, is still a step above the K8 with its length of 5.12 meters.

Here you can read more about the new Kia K8, which unfortunately is not coming to the Netherlands.
