Techzle 10 will be in the shops from tomorrow or on your doorstep this week. What are you reading in our packed magazine this week?
In Techzle 10 we pay a lot of attention to somewhat older cars. You can already see the first ones above; the Citroën Xantia and Peugeot 406, equipped with a V6, and luxuriously equipped, will face each other. Admittedly from the same concern, but also very different. Although they are elderly, they still prove to be wonderful touring cars.
A year after these Citroën and Peugeot rolled off the line, BMW came up with a new and quite controversial 7-series. A car that divided opinions nicely. The current 7-series is a lot less extravagant – except for that enormous grille – and proves that innovation in the luxury top segment has certainly not stood still in the past twenty. We like to illustrate this in ‘Old and New’.
Also in Klokje Rond we have an impressive, large sedan as a guest: a Lexus GS 430 from 2002. This proves that the purchase of such a thick young timer is often not the most expensive story. Despite Lexus’ trustworthy image, the owner of this GS has spent enough to keep it good. Time to investigate whether it is worthwhile to keep pampering the GS with the 4 tons in sight.
In this issue there is of course also attention for models that you can still buy at the moment or that are even brand new. For example, the Ford Mustang Mach-E landed in the Netherlands. A car that, not least in terms of appearance, approaches it very differently from the Volvo XC40 P8 Recharge, but there are still enough pearls to put them next to each other.
For the smaller fair, the Kia Picanto and Hyundai i10 have been quite attractive for years. Kia is doing a bit better in terms of sales figures than Hyundai with its smallest. That while the Hyundai still makes a very strong impression to date. A comparative test should make it clear whether the Dutch preference for the Picanto is justified, or whether one should perhaps look a little further at its sister model.
This and more can all be read in the latest Techzle, which will be in stores this week from Wednesday. Would you rather not go out? Order from the easy chair the latest number. Then it will be delivered to your door within two working days.
