New Citroën C5 is almost there

Citroen is preparing for the unveiling of the new C5. The brand announces the curtain of the new C5 on April 12.

This year we have to do it for the fourth year without a direct successor to the third generation Citroën C5. That will soon change. On Monday April 12, Citroën will unveil the fourth generation of its middle class. The French make this known with the above teaser image. On it we see the lines that characterize the nose of the new C5.

Two months ago the new C5 came camouflaged and it was already clear that Citroën is taking a slightly different approach than before. The new C5 will be a bit higher on its wheels and will have a fairly sloping roofline at the back. Not really a thoroughbred station wagon as we are used to. We count on the C5 to have quite some similarities in appearance with its little brother, the also brand-new C4.

The new C5 is on a further developed version of the EMP2 platform, which means that we can in any case count on the well-known PureTech petrol engines, but also on the arrival of one or more plug-in hybrid versions. In any case, count on a variant with a system power of 225 hp and an electric range of roughly 50 km. We will receive confirmation in three weeks.
