Ford Ranger as Stormtrak and Wolftrak to the Netherlands

Ford Ranger as Stormtrak and Wolftrak to the Netherlands

Ford is bringing two new editions of the Ranger to the Netherlands with a tough look. It concerns the Stormtrak and Wolftrak, which will be placed next to the already well-known sporty-dressed Wildtrak.

Ford supplies the Ranger Raptor in the Netherlands with four conventional doors, although the majority of Ranger sales in connection with the requirements set by the Dutch tax authorities for a company car with a gray license plate consist of the Ranger Single Cab and Ranger Super Cab. The latter, the variant with two small ‘back to front’ opening rear doors, gets two new versions. The Ranger Super Cab was already available as XL, XLT and as adventurous Wildtrak. Ford now adds two new, tough-looking versions: the Stormtrak and the Wolftrak.

The red Ranger in the pictures is the new Stormtrak variant. Just like the Wildtrak, it has a 213 hp biturbo 2.0 Ecoblue diesel engine under the hood, a 500 Nm strong machine that is linked to a ten-speed automatic transmission. This Wildtrack-based version is painted in the special color Striking Rapid Red, but is also available in the colors Frozen White and Blue Lightning. The Stormtrak gets not only LED headlights as standard, but also red inserts in its grille and underbody protection. The rear bumper is in black and the Ranger Storm gets special badges all around.

The Stormtrak will also receive leather upholstery in which Stormtrak logos are embroidered. Here and there we see red stitching and Ford further dresses the interior with gray accents.

The Ranger Wolftrak is based on the XLT version and gets Ford’s 170 hp 2.0 EcoBlue diesel engine, which, like the 213 hp variant, is linked to a ten-speed automatic, although a manual six-speed gearbox is also available. This more off-road oriented version includes off-road tires and an electronic rear limited slip differential, which is normally optional on the XLT. As a Wolftrak, the Ranger gets, among other things, a tubular frame in its cargo box for which you can get all kinds of Ford accessories. The Imposing Conquer Gray-colored Wildtrak stands on special 17-inch alloy wheels, has a matte black grille and, like the Stormtrak, gets a series of special badges. These are also included in the interior, in which Ford also installs a matte black instrument panel, all-weather floor mats and the SYNC3 infotainment system with 8-inch screen.
