In chat app WhatsApp you can now edit media messages directly in conversation. This way you can immediately adjust a photo or file that you receive.
Edit WhatsApp media now from the app
If you now receive a photo or file in WhatsApp, you no longer have to save it in your camera roll to be able to edit it. Starting with version 2.19.100 of WhatsApp, you can do this directly from a conversation, and share your edited version directly with your contact. This works as follows.
This way you can edit WhatsApp media directly from the app
- Update WhatsApp to the latest version (2.19.100 and newer);
- Open a chat where a photo or other file has been shared;
- Tap the file to open it;
- Tap the sign icon, the squiggly line at the bottom of the screen;
- Edit the photo or file;
- Share the modified version directly in the conversation.
The new editing feature works in individual conversations as well as group chats.
More new WhatsApp features
WhatsApp version 2.19.100 also introduces other smaller changes. For example, you can change the style of the font in the camera by tapping the T icon. You can now also listen to voice messages directly from a notification by pressing and holding the play button. This way you can listen without opening the WhatsApp app.
