Tip: this is how you use burst mode with your volume button in iOS 14

iOS 14 has adapted the burst function, making it even simpler and faster. Since the software update, it is possible to take a series of photos in rapid succession with your volume button. That is how it works.

Apple has already slightly adjusted the burst function of the iPhone 11 (Pro) camera compared to older devices. In iOS 14, however, Apple makes it even easier for iPhones to quickly shoot multiple photos in a row. This can be done by pressing your volume button. You must first enable the function:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone;

  2. Scroll down and tap on Camera;

  3. Turn on the switch behind ‘Use’ volume up ‘for burst’.

From now on you can use the volume up button for burst mode. Open the Camera app and long press the volume up button to take snapshots at lightning speed. Burst mode is especially useful for taking action photos. Taking multiple photos in a fraction of a second makes it a lot easier to capture movement without blurring the image.

Now that you switch on burst mode with the volume button, you are even faster with capturing a special moment. It is also useful for sports, or if you want to take a picture of your dog when he cannot sit still.
