Every week, Apple chooses an app to give away for free. This free App of the Week promotion is a way to put apps in the spotlight. This week it is the turn of the very nice game Cut the Rope Magic. This sequel to the popular Cut the Rope adds fun new elements to the success formula.
Cut the Rope Magic is all about a new magical power for main character Om Nom. He can transform into other beings. The basis of the game has remained unchanged. You have to cut ropes so that Om Nom can bite candies. You can also collect three stars in each level for the perfect score. Thanks to the transformation and adding fun extra interactive elements, the levels play a little differently than normal.
For example, Om Nom changes into a fish for swimming underwater, or into a bird that flies with the right gust of wind. However, you cannot change shape whenever you want. You can only do this once in each level. Were you tired of the concept after the first Cut the Rope games and therefore skipped Magic? Then now is the time to download the game anyway. Thanks to the new gameplay elements, the makers manage to come up with a lot of interesting puzzles that are different enough.
