Lincoln has prepared a new study model that goes by the name Zephyr Reflection. According to Lincoln, this shows how a new sedan specifically intended for the Chinese market could be designed.
The Zephyr Reflection is a seemingly concrete preview of a model that Lincoln will carry exclusively on the Chinese market. Lincoln officially calls it a ‘preview’ and so there are conceptual frostings on it that may not make it to the production stage. The design of the Zephyr Reflection looks a tighter and more dynamic than that of cars such as the Continental, MKZ and the SUVs that Lincoln has on the menu in the United States. Why the final production version is only on the market in China? That probably has to do with its SUV shape. The Continental and MKZ have lost their lives in the United States due to declining demand for traditional sedans. The Chinese consumer still seems to be poking for a four-door.

The Zephyr Reflection has a strikingly aggressive-looking front with flat LED headlights connected by an aluminum strip. The sleek outlook has a steeply sloping roofline and is also equipped with wide lighting at the rear. With the sportier-looking design, Lincoln says it wants to appeal to the younger Chinese customer. Just as new as the exterior is the interior of the Zephyr Reflection. The bulk of the dashboard consists of a wide panel which – probably just like in the new Ford Evos – houses a digital instrumentation and a gigantic 4k infotainment screen. The Zephyr Reflection may serve as a preview of a new FMD, but the brand says nothing about that yet.
