The SwiftKey design has had a major update. The popular iOS keyboard gets a cleaner look and therefore better suits iOS. More languages are also supported.
SwiftKey design overhauled
When it comes to swiping to type on iOS, you can’t ignore SkiftKey. This popular keyboard lets you create words by sliding your finger smoothly over your keyboard. The design of this keyboard was fine, but it didn’t really match the clean look of iOS. That is about to change. The latest version of the keyboard removes a lot of frills, leaving a neat design.
Specifically, in the old design, SwiftKey placed a shadow behind the separate keys and a blue color was put on the special buttons. That is no longer the case. The effect of these small changes is enormous. The keyboard looks nicer and quieter and fits much better with iOS. Unfortunately, the SwiftKey logo is still on the space bar. Hopefully Microsoft will wipe these off one more time in a later update.
SwiftKey adds a total of six new themes to the app. There are also some animated themes with moving elements below the keys. This can be distracting, but it may be exactly what you are looking for. Incidentally, SwiftKey has also added a bunch of new languages, bringing the counter to 106 supported languages. Dutch has been supported for quite some time.
