It’s finally possible to record longer videos in Snapchat, but with a twist. The app also has a cool new editing function to adjust colors.
Record longer videos in Snapchat
Snapchat finally lets you record one long video of up to 60 seconds in one go. At least, you can press and hold the record button for 60 seconds while recording is in progress. Then the video is divided into short clips of ten seconds. These clips can be published and viewed as a series.
After recording you will be given the option to omit a clip or to publish the entire long video. You can of course also edit the images first via filters and other editing options of Snapchat. These edits are visible throughout the video.
Nice is that Snapchat has also introduced a new tool to edit in an even more creative way. It is now possible to change the color of an object. To do this, press the scissors and then the brush. Then choose a color and draw over the edge of the object that you want to give a different color. This does not have to be very precise.
With these additions, Snapchat is taking on Instagram, which has stolen a lot of users from the video service. We are curious how this new new way of recording long videos will change the app. In any case, it becomes much easier to show something without having to constantly think about when to record and when to let go.
