You can catch these new Pokémon in Pokémon GO during Halloween

Halloween will be in the world of Pokémon GO in the coming weeks. Developer Niantic is celebrating this with the introduction of various new Pokémon, among other things.

Pokémon GO Halloween event started

The Halloween event starts tonight at 9:00 PM Dutch time, and will run through Thursday, November 2. As in previous events, Niantic comes out with extra items and other rewards. The biggest news, however, is that the rollout of the third generation Pokémon has begun.

During the Halloween event, you’ll find Sableye, Banette, and other Ghost-type Pokémon in-game. They are the first monsters from Hoenn, the world of the third Pokémon generation. Rumors that the third generation was coming has been buzzing for a while, but are now being confirmed by the developer. “Other monsters first seen in Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire will arrive from early December,” said Niantic.

The third generation includes Pokémon such as Mudkip, Wurmple and Pelipper. The generation will consist of over a hundred new monsters in total, all of which are expected to be available to Pokémon GO players from the end of this year. Legendary third-generation Pokémon, such as Deoxys and Jirachi, are not likely to follow until later.

During the Halloween event, you can also expect a Pikachu in a special costume. There is new clothing for your avatar to purchase, and you will receive twice the amount of Candy during the promotional period. Finally, in the in-game store, you can find special boxes containing Raid Passes, Super Incubators and other items for less than they normally cost.
