Electric hyperathlete Rimac C_Two ready for debut

The Croatian Rimac has finally finished the production version of the C_Two. The electric extremist will make his public debut on June 1 and will be lifted onto the stage in final form and in a new form.

Rimac Automobili scored highly with the Concept One, a speed monster with four electric motors and a 90 kWh battery. Only a handful of copies of the Concept One have been built, but Rimac is hungry for more. For a while, by the way. In 2018, the brand already presented the C_Two, a completely new electric hypercar that shares its basis with the Battista that Pininfarina will build. The production version of the Rimac C_Two was scheduled to launch in 2020, but was postponed due to the pandemic. This week Rimac finally presents the final version of the C_Two to the public.

The C_Two appears to be given a different name, Rimac reports. We do not yet know what that name is. Rimac also indicates that the final version also has specifications that differ from the C_Two ‘Concept’. That is promising. The C_Two was already endowed with four 1,914 hp electric motors, good for a sprint from a standstill to a speed of 97 km / h (60 mph) in 1.9 counts …

Rimac has impressed several manufacturers. For example, Pininfarina will use the ‘C_Two’ as the basis for the Battista and recently Porsche increased its stake in the Croatian manufacturer to 24 percent.
