Do you have a minute? Then you have just enough time to play Minit, a unique game that gives performance under time pressure a new meaning.
Minit gives you 60 seconds
Tie your shoes, make a sandwich, make coffee; in 60 seconds you can do all kinds of small jobs. That principle is at the heart of Minit, an adventure game in which you always have one minute to complete tasks before you die. Then you start again, but the things you did in your last minute still exist.

That way, you work your way through a mysterious world minute by minute, full of comic characters who need your help. You can water plants, defeat crabs with your sword and traverse an endless desert.
From minute to minute
It is important to always set a goal for yourself: after all, you only have sixty seconds to achieve it. Most of the assignments you complete will take several minutes, so you’ll need to plan well to get everything done on time.
What makes Minit so good is that the game plays with this limitation in all sorts of ways. Early in your adventure you will meet an old man at a lighthouse, who talks very slowly. So slow, that it is almost impossible to complete his dialogue within a minute.

A simple yet functional design
At first glance, Minit looks like a game that could have appeared on a classic Nintendo console. The game is completely black and white and has childishly simple controls: you walk with four buttons and you also have a button to interact with people and objects, or to deal a blow with your sword.
Also handy: Minit supports controllers, which makes controlling just that little bit more convenient. Yet, in its simplicity, Minit can also be operated well with virtual keys on your screen. However, if you have a PlayStation or Xbox controller, you can also easily connect it from iOS 13 and iPadOS.
The simple look comes in handy, because with a 60-second timer that continuously counts down, there’s no time to enjoy an impressive view. Because of this graphic style you can often see at a glance which objects and characters on a screen are worth spending time on.

Conclusion Minit review
After a few hours, you’ll have seen all that Minit has to offer, and that’s long enough. In our opinion, this game is a must for anyone who wants to play something different than the usual games that you come across in the App Store. As far as we are concerned, the game is well worth its purchase price of 5.49 euros. From the comedic dialogues to the original concept, Minit is worth every minute of playing.
