According to Bloomberg, Apple will release a successor to the Watch SE in 2022. In the same year, the Apple Watch Series 8 also appeared. This would have a thermometer to measure your body temperature.
Rumor: New Apple Watch SE in 2022
That claims Bloombergjournalist Mark Gurman based on his own sources. According to the insider, 2022 will be a busy year for the Apple Watch. The company is said to be launching three watches.
Starting with a new Apple Watch SE. Like its predecessor, this watch will be affordable and would include a faster chip. This makes the smartwatch faster to use, according to Gurman, but he does not know more specifications at the moment.
Also new in 2022: the Apple Watch Series 8. This watch will be a lot more expensive than the SE and would get all kinds of exclusive features. According to the Bloomberg journalist, the Apple Watch 8 will include a body thermometer.
This can warn you when your body is getting too hot or too cold. Some smartwatches, such as a few Fitbit models, already have such a thermometer on board.
Apple Watch Sport on the way
Gurman also claims that Apple will release a real sports version of the Apple Watch in 2022. This sturdy watch has to withstand the harshest conditions, such as extreme cold and heat.
The Apple Watch Sports edition, as we now call the watch, has to compete with watches from Garmin and Polar, among others. It is not clear how much this sports edition will cost.
On to the Series 7
The next watch that Apple will release is the Watch Series 7. We expect the successor to the Apple Watch 6 this fall. The Apple Watch Series 7 will likely be announced alongside the iPhone 13 during the annual keynote, which almost always takes place in September.
