Did you have a meeting in Zoom or Google Meet? And where can you find the link? Such problems are a thing of the past with Meeter. The handy Mac app collects all your video calling appointments in one place: a tool that you can no longer do without.
Meeter: all video calling appointments in one place
If you’re working from home, like many of us today, it’s probably recognizable: your calendar is full of video calling appointments. Meeter collects all these appointments for you in a list. Do you have an appointment today? Then all you have to do is click the join button in Meeter to start the meeting.
Whether you use Jitsi, Meet, Zoom or another video calling program: if you put it in the agenda, it will be in Meeter by default. Meeter supports Zoom, Google Meet (or Hangouts), Webex, Microsoft Teams, Jitsi, Ring Central, Amazon Chime, and GoToMeeting. When you download the Mac app, an icon will appear in the menu bar at the top right.
Link Meeter to the macOS Calendar
You can only link Meeter to your macOS calendars and contacts. So if you don’t use it, it’s important to first connect your other calendar to the default Calendar app on macOS. To add a calendar:
- Open the Calendar app;
- Click on Calendar in the menu bar at the top left;
- Choose ‘Add account…’;
- Click on the type of account you have (such as Google) and fill in your details.
The first time you launch Meeter, the Mac app will ask for access to the default macOS calendar. When you have linked the agenda with Meeter, you don’t have to do anything to get the video calling appointments in Meeter. This happens automatically as soon as a new meeting is scheduled in your agenda.
Start meetings in Meeter
If there is an appointment in your calendar with a link to video call, it will automatically end up in Meeter. If you click on the icon, you will see all the meetings scheduled for today. You will also see a button to directly join the meeting.
If you want to manually video call a colleague, you can easily do that in Meeter. Then click on the Meeter icon and then on the blue icon of a telephone and a plus sign. If you give Meeter access to your contacts, you can enter a name here and call this person directly.
Even if you don’t use different video calling programs, Meeter is ideal. This way you never have to look for a link to enter the meeting again, but they are neatly collected in one place. The Mac app is free to download in the App Store, so it’s definitely worth a try.
