The band Queen has made a game in collaboration with Gameloft. Seeing the characters from the game for the first time, Queen: Rock Tour seems like a cheap way to earn some extra money from the music of the popular band. Fortunately, the game is much more fun than this first impression.
The idea behind the game is that you follow the history of the band. Over the years, Queen has had some legendary concerts around the world. You go through those ten locations, where you can play two hits at each location.

This happens like a rhythm game: as the band plays, notes fall on different tracks from top to bottom. It’s up to you to touch the screen with both thumbs at the right time. Sometimes you have to tap, sometimes you have to hold the note and sometimes you have to swipe.
The colors of the notes represent the four different band members: green stands for Freddy Mercury, for example. If you miss a green note, Freddy will stop singing for a while. The music immediately sounds bad, but if you hit good notes again, the band will pick itself up and continue playing.
Beginner to Legend
Each track has three difficulty levels: Beginner, Rock Star, and Legend. Although the highest difficulty could have been a bit more difficult, you are quite Under Pressure for hitting every note. On Legend, you often have to combine both hands, swipe and follow notes. Sometimes you will make a mistake, but The Show Must Go On.
On Beginner, the game is accessible to everyone. This way, music lovers who don’t play that often can still enjoy this game.
For fans, but the gameplay comes first
By playing you collect coins and records. You use it to unlock new locations for the tour, and to train the band customize with outfits and hairstyles. You also unlock memories in the form of small movies, photos and other images from the history of the band. Nice if you are a real fan.
