3 alternatives to Giphy
Facebook recently acquired Giphy: the website and app for gifs. For years, Giphy has been one of the most popular platforms to create, upload and download gifs.
The way Facebook handles user privacy has often been negatively in the news. That is why many users of the Giphy decide to switch to an alternative. We list the three best.
1. GIF Keyboard: Tenor
Tenor has a slightly different range of poisons than Giphy, but is still an excellent alternative. The website is simply organized so that you can quickly find the gif you are looking for.
The app is also ideal. This can integrate into your keyboard, so you can tap it in iMessage, for example, to search for gifs. Handy if you want to get rid of Giphy completely, and therefore also of the integration of Giphy with other apps. However, Tenor is from Google, so as far as privacy is concerned, that’s a trade-off that you have to make yourself.
2. GIFWrapped
If you want to completely get rid of a gif platform that is part of a tech giant, GIFWrapped is worth a try. You save your favorite gifs in the app. You can then manage your own GIF library via iCloud or Dropbox.

Here you will not only find meme-like gifs, but also other very special creations from users. You can sort them by hot, new and top gifs. Reddit does not integrate with iOS, but of course you can always save a gif from your browser on your iPhone or iPad and then send it from your camera roll.
