New entry-level version, diesels out
Volvo XC90 model year 2020
Volvo will remove the latest diesel versions from its range. The XC90 is no longer available with this fuel option. A new entry-level version, new options, lower CO2 emissions and improved equipment are the other news for the new model year.
From now on, Volvo will only supply the XC90 with a B5 mild hybrid petrol engine and as a T8 plug-in hybrid. The latter version now emits less than 50 g / km of CO2, making the model eligible for the half rate of the motor vehicle tax. Volvo has achieved lower emissions by installing tires with a lower rolling resistance.
Volvo replaces the Momentum Pro entry-level version with the Business Pro. The equipment is therefore expanded with keyless entry, digital radio reception and a heated steering wheel. All XC90 models are now also equipped with all semi-autonomous driving systems. New options include a wireless phone charger and wool cover. Volvo also offers the possibility to put together a leather-free interior.
Volvo has also improved the cabin filter. You can see the current air quality on the screen in the car. Finally, the optional Bowers & Wilkins audio system is finely polished.
Due to the extra equipment, the starting price of the XC90 is now slightly higher, at 83,995 euros. That price applies to both engine versions of the large Volvo SUV.
