If enough time goes by, almost all vans eventually become worth a second look. The Citroën 2CV ‘Delivered’ was new, but already a striking thing to see. Today it is already an eye-catcher.
Especially in the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s you came across them regularly, the ‘Bestleendjes’. The Wegenwacht, among others, had a considerable fleet of them. Due to the enthusiast status of the 2CV, quite a few Fourgonnettes have also been preserved and you will occasionally see one driving past. Nevertheless, a copy like this really deserves some attention. The undersigned spotted it and can assure you that it really looks almost flawless. It is probably a fresh restoration or the Duck will be handled with velvet gloves.
You often see them driving with advertisements for some hip agency on them, or too expensive sandwiches are sold with responsibly pulled apart pig as a topping. The color combination looks nice and historically correct and it would have fit in the house style of the Citroën dealer in the past. Nice detail are the neat mud flaps at the back. Incidentally, this 2CV was only put on a Dutch registration for the first time at the beginning of this year and that naturally feeds the theory that the Bee Duck has only recently been admired on the country’s roads in fully restored condition. Welcome!
