Protect your eyes when using iPhone in the dark by reducing iPhone brightness more than iOS allows.
Like many people, you’ve probably gotten into the habit of using your iPhone in the dark before diving into Morpheus’ arms. To avoid glare, iOS incorporates iOS’s Night Shift function which limits the blue light emitted by your screen by applying a yellowish filter that emits a warmer brightness that is supposed to be less aggressive for the retina.
In some cases, even by reducing the brightness to the maximum of what iOS offers, the latter remains too high for the most fragile eyes. However, there is a way to go much further and reduce the screen brightness to the extreme for more comfort.
1. Go to Settings
Open iOS Settings, then in General, go to Accessibility. Then enter the Adapt display menu.

2. Reduce the intensity of bright colors
Activate the Reduce white point function. A slider appears and allows you to adjust according to your preferences, the intensity of the bright colors of the iPhone.

3. Create a shortcut
To activate your personalized setting when necessary, it is possible to configure a shortcut. Go back to the Accessibility menu, then at the very bottom of the section, enter Accessibility Shortcut. Select the Reduce white point option.

You will now only have to press the Home button on iPhone three times to activate your custom setting to reduce screen brightness.
